How to Properly Measure Your Head For Your Wigs!
A question I'm constantly asked by new customers is "How do I know what size wig to order for my head?" To avoid buying the wrong size wig, (& don't feel bad, I've done it a few times myself! lol).. follow the steps we have below to ensure your unit fits nice and snug! Check out the chart below, and then follow the instructions listed underneath the chart on how to properly measure your head for a flawless install!
There are six measurements that you'll need to take in order to find the right size:Â
Â
Step #1: Circumference
The circumference is a way around your hairline, wrap the measurement tape around your hairline from one ear to the next, make sure it's comfortably wrapped. Generally, 21 inches to 23 inches is a national standard, there is a strap on the wig you can adjust the size from 21 inches to 23 inches. If you have a special size, smaller or larger, please make sure to inform us so that we can make the proper adjustments.
Â
Step #2: Front to nape
Use the measurement from the middle of your forehead, come across the top of your head, then to the bottom.Â
Â
Step #3: Ear to ear, across forehead
From ear to ear, across your forehead. If you want your pre plucked wigs to have a longer hairline, choose a 13*6 inch lace frontal.
Â
Step #4: Ear to ear, top head
From ear to ear, across the top of your head. Please keep the measuring tape straight with your ear and the top of your head. This step decides the deepness of the wig cap.
Â
Step #5: Temple to temple around back
From temple to temple, across the back of your head. Keep a Horizontal line with your ear.
Â
Step #6:Â Nape of your neck
At the bottom of your neck hairline, measuring the size.
